भगवद गीता अध्याय 4 श्लोक 40
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 4 Shlok 40 में बताया गया है कि जो व्यक्ति ज्ञानहीन, श्रद्धाविहीन और संदेह से ग्रस्त होता है, वह आध्यात्मिक उन्नति नहीं कर सकता और न ही उसे इस लोक या परलोक में कोई सुख प्राप्त होता है।
श्लोक:
अज्ञश्चाश्रद्दधानश्च संशयात्मा विनश्यति ।
नायं लोकोऽस्ति न परो न सुखं संशयात्मनः ॥४०॥
Transliteration:
ajñaśh chāśhraddadhānaśh cha sanśhayātmā vinaśhyati
nāyaṁ loko ’sti na paro na sukhaṁ sanśhayātmanaḥ
अर्थ:
जो अज्ञानी और श्रद्धाहीन व्यक्ति सदा संदेह करता है, वह नष्ट हो जाता है। संदेह करने वाले के लिए न तो इस लोक में, न ही परलोक में कोई सुख होता है।
Meaning:
The ignorant, faithless, and doubting soul perishes. For the doubting person, there is neither happiness in this world nor in the next.
तात्पर्य:
भगवद्गीता सभी प्रामाणिक शास्त्रों में श्रेष्ठ है। जो व्यक्ति पशुतुल्य हैं, वे या तो शास्त्रों के प्रति श्रद्धा नहीं रखते या उनमें विश्वास नहीं करते, चाहे वे शास्त्रों का ज्ञान भी रखते हों। यहाँ तक कि कुछ लोग भगवद्गीता का अध्ययन करते हैं, पर भगवान कृष्ण में आस्था नहीं रखते, उनकी पूजा नहीं करते।
ऐसे संशयग्रस्त लोगों के लिए न तो कृष्णभावनामृत में कोई स्थान है, न ही वे आध्यात्मिक उन्नति कर सकते हैं। ऐसे व्यक्ति इस लोक और परलोक दोनों में सुख से वंचित रहते हैं। अतः मानव को चाहिए कि श्रद्धा एवं विश्वास के साथ शास्त्रों का अध्ययन करे और परंपरागत आचार्यों का अनुसरण करके अध्यात्म में उन्नति करे।
The Bhagavad Gita is the most authentic and supreme scripture. Those who are like animals lacking both faith and understanding fail to accept the Gita's authority. Even some who quote from the scriptures fail to truly believe in them, especially in Lord Krishna and His teachings. Such doubting individuals cannot attain Krishna consciousness. They degrade themselves spiritually. Those who doubt the words of God or the scriptures gain neither peace in this world nor in the next. Spiritual progress is impossible for them. Hence, one must approach scripture with faith, learn from bona fide spiritual masters, and walk the path laid out by the great spiritual teachers (acharyas). Only then can true transcendental realization and peace be attained.
