भगवद गीता अध्याय 10 श्लोक 23
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 10 Shlok 23 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण बताते हैं कि वे रुद्रों में शिव, यक्षों और राक्षसों में कुबेर, वसुओं में अग्नि तथा पर्वतों में मेरु पर्वत के रूप में हैं।
श्लोक:
रुद्राणां शङ्करश्चास्मि वित्तेशो यक्षरक्षसाम्।
वसूनां पावकश्चास्मि मेरुः शिखरिणामहम् ॥२३॥
Transliteration:
rudrāṇāṁ śhaṅkaraśh chāsmi vitteśho yakṣha-rakṣhasām
vasūnāṁ pāvakaśh chāsmi meruḥ śhikhariṇām aham
अर्थ:
मैं समस्त रुद्रों में शिव हूँ, यक्षों तथा राक्षसों में सम्पत्ति का देवता (कुबेर) हूँ, वसुओं में अग्नि हूँ और समस्त पर्वतों में मेरु हूँ।
Meaning:
Among the Rudras I am Shankara (Lord Shiva), among Yakṣas and Rākṣasas I am the lord of wealth (Kubera); among the Vasus I am fire (Pāvaka), and among the mountains I am Meru.
तात्पर्य:
ग्यारह रुद्रों में शंकर या शिव प्रमुख हैं। वे भगवान् के अवतार हैं, जिन परब्रह्माण्ड के तमोगुण का भार है। यक्षों तथा राक्षसों के नायक कुबेर हैं, जो देवताओं के कोषाध्यक्ष तथा भगवान् के प्रतिनिधि हैं। मेरु पर्वत अपनी समृद्ध प्राकृत सम्पदा के लिए विख्यात है।
Among the eleven Rudras, Shankara or Shiva is the most prominent. He is considered an incarnation of the Lord and is in charge of the mode of ignorance in the cosmic manifestation.
Kubera is the leader of the Yakṣas and Rākṣasas, the treasurer of the demigods and a representative of the Lord. Mount Meru is renowned for its abundant natural opulence.
