भगवद गीता अध्याय 7 श्लोक 4

Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 7 Shlok 4 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण बताते हैं कि भौतिक सृष्टि की रचना आठ मूल तत्त्वों से हुई है, जो उनकी अपरा (भिन्ना) शक्ति का स्वरूप हैं।

श्लोक:

भूमिरापोऽनलो वायुः खं मनो बुद्धिरेव च।

अहङ्कार इतीयं मे भिन्ना प्रकृतिरष्टधा॥४॥

Transliteration:

bhūmir-āpo ’nalo vāyuḥ khaṁ mano buddhir eva cha

ahankāra itīyaṁ me bhinnā prakṛitir aṣhṭadhā

अर्थ:

पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु, आकाश, मन, बुद्धि तथा अहंकार- ये आठ प्रकार से विभक्त मेरी भिन्ना (अपरा) प्रकृतियाँ हैं।

Meaning:

Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence, and false ego- these eight constitute My separated material energies.

तात्पर्य:

ईश्वर-विज्ञान भगवान् की स्वाभाविक स्थिति तथा उनकी विविध शक्तियों का विश्लेषण करता है।

भगवान् के विभिन्न पुरुष अवतारों (विस्तारों) की शक्ति को प्रकृति कहा जाता है, जैसा कि सात्वततन्त्र में उल्लेख मिलता है-

विष्णोस्तु त्रीणि रूपाणि पुरुषाख्यान्यथो विदुः।

एकं तु महतः स्रष्टृ द्वितीयं त्वण्डसंस्थितम्।

तृतीयं सर्वभूतस्थं तानि ज्ञात्वा विमुच्यते॥

"सृष्टि के लिए भगवान् कृष्ण का स्वांश तीन विष्णुओं का रूप धारण करता है। पहले महाविष्णु हैं, जो सम्पूर्ण भौतिक शक्ति महत्तत्त्व को उत्पन्न करते हैं। द्वितीय गर्भोदकशायी विष्णु हैं, जो समस्त ब्रह्माण्डों में प्रविष्ट होकर उनमें विविधता उत्पन्न करते हैं। तृतीय क्षीरोदकशायी विष्णु हैं, जो समस्त ब्रह्माण्डों में सर्वव्यापी परमात्मा के रूप में फैले हुए हैं और परमात्मा कहलाते हैं। वे प्रत्येक परमाणु तक के भीतर उपस्थित हैं।

जो भी इन तीनों विष्णु रूपों को जानता है, वह भवबन्धन से मुक्त हो सकता है।"

The science of God involves understanding His position and the energies He controls. This verse describes Krishna’s external energy divided into eight elements—five gross (earth, water, fire, air, ether) and three subtle (mind, intelligence, and false ego).

In the Sātvata Tantra, it is explained that the Lord expands into three Puruṣa incarnations:

1. Mahā-Viṣṇu, who creates the total material energy (mahat-tattva).
2. Garbhodaka-śāyī Viṣṇu, who enters each universe and generates diversity.
3. Kṣīrodaka-śāyī Viṣṇu, who pervades all living entities as the Supersoul (Paramātmā), residing even within atoms.

One who understands these three Viṣṇu forms attains liberation from material bondage. These energies and expansions make up the functioning of material existence, all originating from Lord Krishna’s separated material nature (apara prakṛti).
