भगवद गीता अध्याय 2 श्लोक 12
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 2 Shlok 12 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण आत्मा की अमरता की शिक्षा देते हुए कहते हैं कि आत्मा कभी नष्ट नहीं होती न वह पहले कभी न थी, न भविष्य में न होगी। यह आत्मा शाश्वत है और हम सभी पहले भी थे, अब भी हैं, और आगे भी रहेंगे।
श्लोक:
न त्वेवाहं जातु नासं न त्वं नेमे जनाधिपाः ।
न चैव न भविष्यामः सर्वे वयमतः परम् ॥१२॥
Transliteration:
na tvevāhaṁ jātu nāsaṁ na tvaṁ neme janādhipāḥ
na chaiva na bhaviṣhyāmaḥ sarve vayamataḥ param
अर्थ:
ऐसा कभी नहीं हुआ कि मैं न रहा होऊँ, न तुम न रहे हो अथवा ये समस्त राजा न रहे हों; और न ऐसा होगा कि भविष्य में हम लोग नहीं रहेंगे।
Meaning:
Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be.
तात्पर्य:
वेदों में, कठोपनिषद् में तथा श्वेताश्वतर उपनिषद् में भी कहा गया है कि जो श्रीभगवान् असंख्य जीवों के कर्म तथा कर्मफल के अनुसार उनकी अपनी-अपनी परिस्थितियों में पालक हैं, वही भगवान् अंश रूप में हर जीव के हृदय में वास कर रहे हैं।
केवल साधु पुरुष, जो एक ही ईश्वर को भीतर-बाहर देख सकते हैं, पूर्ण एवं शाश्वत शान्ति प्राप्त कर पाते हैं।
It is stated in the Vedas, specifically in the Kaṭha Upaniṣad and the Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad, that the Supreme Lord, who is the maintainer of all living entities according to their individual karma and resultant reactions, resides within the heart of every being as a partial expansion. Only saintly persons, who can perceive the same Supreme Lord both inside and outside of everything, attain complete and eternal peace.
