भगवद गीता अध्याय 3 श्लोक 31
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 3 Shlok 31 में श्री कृष्ण यह बताते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति ईर्ष्या और मोह के बिना उनके आदेशों का पालन करते हैं, वे कर्मों के बंधन से मुक्त हो जाते हैं।
श्लोक:
ये मे मतमिदं नित्यमनुतिष्ठन्ति मानवाः।
श्रद्धावन्तोऽनसूयन्तो मुच्यन्ते तेऽपि कर्मभिः ॥३१॥
Transliteration:
ye me matam idaṁ nityam anutiṣhṭhanti mānavāḥ
śhraddhāvanto ’nasūyanto muchyante te ’pi karmabhiḥ
अर्थ:
जो व्यक्ति मेरे आदेशों के अनुसार अपना कर्तव्य करते रहते हैं और ईर्ष्यारहित होकर इस उपदेश का श्रद्धापूर्वक पालन करते हैं, वे सकाम कर्मों के बन्धन से मुक्त हो जाते हैं।
Meaning:
Those who perform their duties according to my instructions and follow these teachings with faith, without envy, are liberated from the bondage of material actions.
तात्पर्य:
श्रीभगवान् कृष्ण का उपदेश समस्त वैदिक ज्ञान का सार है, अतः किसी अपवाद के बिना यह शाश्वत सत्य है। जिस प्रकार वेद शाश्वत हैं उसी प्रकार कृष्णभावनामृत का यह सत्य भी शाश्वत है। मनुष्य को चाहिए कि भगवान् से ईर्ष्या किये बिना इस आदेश में दृढ विश्वास रखे। ऐसे अनेक दार्शनिक हैं, जो भगवद्गीता पर टीका रचते हैं, किन्तु कृष्ण में कोई श्रद्धा नहीं रखते। वे कभी भी सकाम कर्मों के बन्धन से मुक्त नहीं हो सकते।
किन्तु एक सामान्य पुरुष भगवान् के इन आदेशों में दृढविश्वास करके कर्म-नियम के बन्धन से मुक्त हो जाता है, भले ही वह इन आदेशों का ठीक से पालन न कर पाए। कृष्णभावनामृत के प्रारम्भ में भले ही कृष्ण के आदेशों का पूर्णतया पालन न हो पाए, किन्तु चूँकि मनुष्य इस नियम से रुष्ट नहीं होता और पराजय तथा निराशा का विचार किये बिना निष्ठापूर्वक कार्य करता है, अतः वह विशुद्ध कृष्णभावनामृत को प्राप्त होता है।
The teachings of Lord Krishna are the essence of all Vedic knowledge, and thus they are eternal truths without any exception. Just as the Vedas are eternal, so too is the truth of Krishna-bhakti. A person should follow these instructions with firm belief, without any envy towards the Lord. There are many philosophers who comment on the Bhagavad Gita, but without true devotion to Krishna. Such individuals will never be liberated from the bondage of material actions. On the other hand, even an ordinary person who has firm faith in Krishna's instructions and works without frustration or despair, though they may not perfectly follow them at the beginning, will eventually attain pure Krishna-bhakti.
