भगवद गीता अध्याय 5 श्लोक 9
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 5 Shlok 9 में बताया गया है कि जो व्यक्ति सभी प्रकार के लोगों चाहे वे शुभ हों या अशुभ को समान दृष्टि से देखता है, वह सच्चा ज्ञानी और उन्नत होता है।
श्लोक:
सुहृन्मित्रार्युदासीनमध्यस्थद्वेष्यबन्धुषु ।
साधुष्वपि च पापेषु समबुद्धिर्विशिष्यते ॥९॥
Transliteration:
suhṛin-mitrāryudāsīna-madhyastha-dveṣhya-bandhuṣhu
sādhuṣhvapi cha pāpeṣhu sama-buddhir viśhiṣhyate
अर्थ:
जब मनुष्य निष्कपट हितैषियों, प्रिय मित्रों, तटस्थों, मध्यस्थों, ईर्ष्यालुओं, शत्रुओं तथा मित्रों, पुण्यात्माओं एवं पापियों को समान भाव से देखता है, तो वह और भी उन्नत माना जाता है।
Meaning:
When a person views impartial friends, relatives, neutral persons, enemies, and even those who do good or evil, all with an equal mind, he is considered truly advanced in wisdom.
तात्पर्य:
जिस व्यक्ति के मन में न तो किसी के प्रति पक्षपात होता है और न ही द्वेष भाव, जो सभी के लिए समान रूप से मित्रतापूर्ण, दयालु तथा निष्पक्ष रहता है, वही सच्चा ज्ञानी और योगी होता है। ऐसा व्यक्ति सभी जीवों के प्रति समान प्रेम और करुणा रखता है।
उसकी बुद्धि किसी भी परिस्थिति में स्थिर रहती है और वह सभी प्रकार के जीवों को एक समान देखता है। यही योगी की विशेषता है कि वह अपने मन को मित्र, शत्रु, पुण्यात्मा या पापी के बीच विभेद किए बिना समभाव रखता है।
A person who remains impartial and treats all beings — friends, enemies, neutral parties, the virtuous, and the sinful — with equal respect and kindness is considered truly wise and advanced spiritually. Such a person’s mind is free from attachment and aversion, and their intellect remains steady in all circumstances. This impartiality is the hallmark of a true yogi who sees the divine presence in all beings equally.
