भगवद गीता अध्याय 6 श्लोक 41
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 6 Shlok 41 में बताया गया है कि जो योगी आध्यात्मिक लक्ष्य को प्राप्त किए बिना असफल हो जाते हैं, वे अगले जन्म में पवित्र या धनवान कुल में जन्म लेते हैं।
श्लोक:
प्राप्य पुण्यकृतां लोकानुषित्वा शाश्वतीः समाः।
शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे योगभ्रष्टोऽभिजायते॥४१॥
Transliteration:
prāpya puṇya-kṛitāṁ lokān uṣhitvā śhāśhvatīḥ samāḥ
śhuchīnāṁ śhrīmatāṁ gehe yoga-bhraṣhṭo ’bhijāyate
अर्थ:
असफल योगी पवित्रात्माओं के लोकों में अनेकानेक वर्षों तक भोग करने के बाद या तो सदाचारी पुरुषों के परिवार में या कि धनवानों के कुल में जन्म लेता है।
Meaning:
After dwelling for many years on the planets of the pious, the unsuccessful yogi is born into a family of righteous people or into a wealthy aristocratic family.
तात्पर्य:
असफल योगियों की दो श्रेणियाँ हैं—एक वे जो बहुत थोड़ी उन्नति के बाद ही भ्रष्ट होते हैं; दूसरे वे जो दीर्घकाल तक योगाभ्यास के बाद भ्रष्ट होते हैं। जो योगी अल्पकालिक अभ्यास के बाद भ्रष्ट होता है, वह स्वर्गलोक को जाता है, जहाँ केवल पुण्यात्माओं को प्रविष्ट होने दिया जाता है। वहाँ पर दीर्घकाल तक रहने के बाद उसे पुनः इस लोक में भेजा जाता है, जिससे वह किसी सदाचारी ब्राह्मण वैष्णव के कुल में या धनवान वणिक के कुल में जन्म ले सके।
योगाभ्यास का वास्तविक उद्देश्य कृष्णभावनामृत की सर्वोच्च सिद्धि प्राप्त करना है, जैसा कि इस अध्याय के अन्तिम श्लोक में बताया गया है, किन्तु जो इतने अध्यवसायी नहीं होते और जो भौतिक प्रलोभनों के कारण असफल हो जाते हैं, उन्हें अपनी भौतिक इच्छाओं की पूर्ति करने की अनुमति दी जाती है।
तत्पश्चात् उन्हें सदाचारी या धनवान परिवारों में सम्पन्न जीवन बिताने का अवसर प्रदान किया जाता है। ऐसे परिवारों में जन्म लेने वाले इन सुविधाओं का लाभ उठाते हुए अपने आपको पूर्ण कृष्णभावनामृत तक ऊपर ले जाते हैं।
There are two classes of unsuccessful yogis:
Those who fall after a short practice, and
Those who progress further but still fail to reach perfection.
Those in the first category ascend to the heavenly planets enjoyed by the pious. After enjoying there for many years, they are reborn into a righteous family of brāhmaṇas or a wealthy, aristocratic family.
This favorable birth gives them another opportunity to resume their spiritual path. The ultimate goal of yoga is Krishna consciousness, and even if one fails, the merit is never lost.
In future lives, they can take full advantage of their birth circumstances to revive their bhakti and attain the Supreme. Thus, even incomplete progress in yoga is never wasted.
