भगवद गीता अध्याय 6 श्लोक 43
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 6 Shlok 43 में श्रीकृष्ण कहते हैं कि योग में असफल रहने वाला योगी अगले जन्म में दिव्य चेतना को पुनः प्राप्त करता है और आत्म-सिद्धि के लिए पुनः प्रयास करता है।
श्लोक:
तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम्।
यतते च ततो भूयः संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन॥४३॥
Transliteration:
tatra taṁ buddhi-sanyogaṁ labhate paurva-dehikam
yatate cha tato bhūyaḥ sansiddhau kuru-nandana
अर्थ:
हे कुरुनन्दन! ऐसा जन्म पाकर वह अपने पूर्वजन्म की दैवी चेतना को पुनः प्राप्त करता है और पूर्ण सफलता प्राप्त करने के उद्देश्य से वह आगे उन्नति करने का प्रयास करता है।
Meaning:
O son of Kuru, on taking such a birth, one regains the divine consciousness from the previous life and strives again for perfection in yoga.
तात्पर्य:
राजा भरत, जिन्हें तीसरे जन्म में उत्तम ब्राह्मण कुल में जन्म मिला, पूर्व दिव्यचेतना की पुनः प्राप्ति के लिए उत्तम जन्म के उदाहरणस्वरूप हैं। भरत विश्व भर के सम्राट थे और तभी से यह लोक देवताओं के बीच भारतवर्ष के नाम से विख्यात है। पहले यह इलावृतवर्ष के नाम से ज्ञात था।
भरत ने अल्पायु में ही आध्यात्मिक सिद्धि के लिए संन्यास ग्रहण कर लिया था, किन्तु वे सफल नहीं हो सके। अगले जन्म में उन्हें उत्तम ब्राह्मण कुल में जन्म लेना पड़ा और वे जड़ भरत कहलाये, क्योंकि वे एकान्त वास करते थे तथा किसी से बोलते न थे।
बाद में राजा रहूगण ने इन्हें महानतम योगी के रूप में पाया। उनके जीवन से यह पता चलता है कि दिव्य प्रयास अथवा योगाभ्यास कभी व्यर्थ नहीं जाता। भगवत्कृपा से योगी को कृष्णभावनामृत में पूर्ण सिद्धि प्राप्त करने के बारम्बार सुयोग प्राप्त होते रहते हैं।
King Bharata is an ideal example of one who took birth in a highly pious Brahmin family after falling short of perfection in his previous yogic endeavor. Formerly, Bharata was the emperor of the whole world, and due to him, this land became known as Bharata-varsha among the demigods, whereas earlier it was called Ilāvṛta-varsha.
Although he renounced his kingdom at a young age to attain spiritual perfection, he could not succeed in that life. In his next life, he was born in a high-class Brahmin family but was called Jada Bharata because he remained silent and detached, living in solitude. Eventually, King Rahugana recognized him as a great yogi.
His life illustrates that divine effort, especially in yoga practice, never goes in vain. By the mercy of the Lord, a yogi gets repeated opportunities for advancement toward full Krishna consciousness and ultimate success.
