भगवद गीता अध्याय 6 श्लोक 47
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 6 Shlok 47 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण स्पष्ट करते हैं कि सभी योगियों में वही श्रेष्ठ है जो पूरी श्रद्धा और प्रेम से भगवान की भक्ति में लगा रहता है और उन्हें अंतःकरण से स्मरण करता है।
श्लोक:
योगिनामपि सर्वेषां मद्गतेनान्तरात्मना।
श्रद्धावान्भजते यो मां स मे युक्ततमो मतः॥४७॥
Transliteration:
yoginām api sarveṣhāṁ mad-gatenāntar-ātmanā
śhraddhāvān bhajate yo māṁ sa me yuktatamo mataḥ
अर्थ:
और समस्त योगियों में से जो योगी अत्यन्त श्रद्धापूर्वक मेरे परायण है, अपने अन्तःकरण में मेरे विषय में सोचता है और मेरी दिव्य प्रेमाभक्ति करता है, वह योग में मुझसे परम अन्तरंग रूप में युक्त रहता है और सबों में सर्वोच्च है। यही मेरा मत है।
Meaning:
Of all yogis, the one who worships Me with great faith, always thinking of Me within himself, is considered by Me to be the most intimately united with Me in yoga and is the highest of all.
तात्पर्य:
यहाँ पर भजते शब्द महत्त्वपूर्ण है। भजते भज् धातु से बना है जिसका अर्थ है सेवा करना। अंग्रेजी शब्द worship (पूजन) से यह भाव व्यक्त नहीं होता, क्योंकि इससे पूजा करना, सम्मान दिखाना तथा योग्य का सम्मान करना सूचित होता है।
किन्तु प्रेम तथा श्रद्धापूर्वक सेवा तो श्रीभगवान् के निमित्त है।
किसी सम्माननीय व्यक्ति या देवता की पूजा न करने वाले को अशिष्ट कहा जा सकता है, किन्तु भगवान् की सेवा न करने वाले की तो पूरी तरह भर्त्सना की जाती है।
प्रत्येक जीव भगवान् का अंशस्वरूप है और इस तरह प्रत्येक जीव को अपने स्वभाव के अनुसार भगवान् की सेवा करनी चाहिए।
ऐसा न करने से वह नीचे गिर जाता है।
The keyword in this verse is "bhajate", which comes from the Sanskrit root "bhaj", meaning to serve with love and devotion. The English equivalent "worship" does not fully capture this mood, as it often implies mere reverence or ceremonial respect.
But bhakti, or loving devotional service, involves heartfelt service with affection and surrender.
A person may be impolite if they fail to show respect to a noble figure or a deity. But one who refuses to serve the Supreme Lord is denounced because that is the very purpose of the soul's existence.
All living beings are parts and parcels of God, and their natural function is to lovingly serve Him.
Failure to do so leads to spiritual degradation.
