भगवद गीता अध्याय 6 श्लोक 7
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 6 Shlok 7 में बताया गया है कि जिसने अपने मन को जीत लिया है, वह परमात्मा को प्राप्त कर लेता है और उसके लिए सुख-दुःख, गर्मी-सर्दी, मान-अपमान सभी समान हो जाते हैं।
श्लोक:
जितात्मनः प्रशान्तस्य परमात्मा समाहितः ।
शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु तथा मानापमानयोः ॥७॥
Transliteration:
jitātmanaḥ praśhāntasya paramātmā samāhitaḥ
śhītoṣhṇa-sukha-duḥkheṣhu tathā mānāpamānayoḥ
अर्थ:
जिसने मन को जीत लिया है, उसने पहले ही परमात्मा को प्राप्त कर लिया है, क्योंकि उसने शान्ति प्राप्त कर ली है। ऐसे पुरुष के लिए सुख-दुःख, सर्दी-गर्मी एवं मान-अपमान एक से हैं।
Meaning:
One who has conquered the mind has already attained the Supreme Soul, for he has attained peace. For such a person, pleasure and pain, heat and cold, honor and dishonor are the same.
तात्पर्य:
वस्तुतः प्रत्येक जीव उस भगवान् की आज्ञा का पालन करने के निमित्त आया है, जो जन-जन के हृदयों में परमात्मा रूप में स्थित है। जब मन बहिरंगा माया द्वारा विपथ कर दिया जाता है तब मनुष्य भौतिक कार्यकलापों में उलझ जाता है। अतः ज्योंही मन किसी योगपद्धति द्वारा वश में आ जाता है, त्योंही मनुष्य को लक्ष्य पर पहुँचा हुआ मान लिया जाना चाहिए। मनुष्य को भगवद्-आज्ञा का पालन करना चाहिए। जब मनुष्य का मन परा प्रकृति में स्थिर हो जाता है तो जीवात्मा के समक्ष भगवद्-आज्ञा पालन करने के अतिरिक्त कोई विकल्प नहीं रह जाता। मन को किसी न किसी उच्च आदेश को मानकर उसका पालन करना होता है। मन को वश में करने से स्वतः ही परमात्मा के आदेश का पालन होता है।
चूँकि कृष्णभावनाभावित होते ही यह दिव्य स्थिति प्राप्त हो जाती है, अतः भगवद्भक्त संसार के द्वन्द्वों, यथा सुख-दुःख, सर्दी-गर्मी आदि से अप्रभावित रहता है। यह अवस्था व्यावहारिक समाधि या परमात्मा में तल्लीनता है।
Every living entity has come to follow the orders of the Supreme Lord, who resides as the Paramatma (Supreme Soul) in the heart of everyone. When the mind is distracted outwardly by illusion, the person becomes entangled in material activities.
As soon as the mind is controlled by yoga practices, the person is considered to have reached the goal. The person must follow the orders of the Lord. When the mind becomes fixed in the Supreme Nature, the soul has no other choice but to obey the divine command.
Controlling the mind automatically leads to following the orders of the Supreme. Since Krishna consciousness brings this divine state, the devotee remains unaffected by the dualities of the world such as pleasure and pain, heat and cold. This state is practical samadhi or absorption in the Supreme Soul.
