भगवद गीता अध्याय 10 श्लोक 26
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 10 Shlok 26 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण बताते हैं कि वे वृक्षों में अश्वत्थ, देवर्षियों में नारद, गन्धर्वों में चित्ररथ और सिद्धों में कपिल मुनि हैं।
श्लोक:
अश्वत्थः सर्ववृक्षाणां देवर्षीणां च नारदः ।
गन्धर्वाणां चित्ररथः सिद्धानां कपिलो मुनिः ॥२६॥
Transliteration:
aśvatthaḥ sarva-vṛkṣāṇāṁ devarṣīṇāṁ ca nāradaḥ
gandharvāṇāṁ citrarathaḥ siddhānāṁ kapilo muniḥ
अर्थ:
मैं समस्त वृक्षों में अश्वत्थ वृक्ष हूँ और देवर्षियों में नारद हूँ। मैं गन्धर्वों में चित्ररथ हूँ और सिद्ध पुरुषों में कपिल मुनि हूँ।
Meaning:
Among all trees I am the sacred fig tree (Ashvattha), among the divine sages I am Nārada, among the Gandharvas I am Citraratha, and among perfected beings I am the sage Kapila.
तात्पर्य:
अश्वत्थ वृक्ष सबसे ऊँचा तथा सुन्दर वृक्ष है, जिसे भारत में लोग नित्यप्रति नियमपूर्वक पूजते हैं। देवताओं में नारद विश्वभर के सबसे बड़े भक्त माने जाते हैं और पूजित होते हैं। इस प्रकार वे भक्त के रूप में कृष्ण के स्वरूप हैं। गन्धर्वलोक ऐसे निवासियों से पूर्ण है, जो बहुत अच्छा गाते हैं, जिनमें से चित्ररथ सर्वश्रेष्ठ गायक है। सिद्ध पुरुषों में से देवहूति के पुत्र कपिल मुनि कृष्ण के प्रतिनिधि हैं। वे कृष्ण के अवतार माने जाते हैं। इनका दर्शन भागवत में उल्लिखित है। बाद में भी एक अन्य कपिल प्रसिद्ध हुए, किन्तु वे नास्तिक थे, अतः इन दोनों में महान अन्तर है।
The Ashvattha, or the sacred fig tree, is regarded as the most venerable and beautiful of trees, and it is traditionally worshiped daily by many in India. Among the divine sages, Nārada is the greatest devotee known throughout the universe and is revered as a pure representative of Krishna in the role of a devotee. The Gandharva realm is populated by celestial beings renowned for their musical abilities, with Citraratha acknowledged as the foremost among them.
Among the Siddhas (perfected beings), the sage Kapila born of Devahuti is considered a direct incarnation of Krishna Himself. His teachings are prominently featured in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. It is important to note that there was later another Kapila who became known for atheistic teachings, but he was entirely different from the divine incarnation mentioned here.
