भगवद गीता अध्याय 8 श्लोक 16
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 8 Shlok 16 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण कहते हैं कि ब्रह्मलोक से लेकर सभी लोक पुनर्जन्म के स्थान हैं। केवल उनका धाम ऐसा है जहाँ जाने के बाद फिर कभी जन्म नहीं होता।
श्लोक:
आब्रह्मभुवनाल्लोकाः पुनरावर्तिनोऽर्जुन।
मामुपेत्य तु कौन्तेय पुनर्जन्म न विद्यते॥१६॥
Transliteration:
ā-brahma-bhuvanāl lokāḥ punar āvartino ’rjuna
mām upetya tu kaunteya punar janma na vidyate
अर्थ:
इस जगत् में सर्वोच्च लोक से लेकर निम्नतम सारे लोक दुःखों के घर हैं, जहाँ जन्म तथा मरण का चक्कर लगा रहता है। किन्तु हे कुन्तीपुत्र! जो मेरे धाम को प्राप्त कर लेता है, वह फिर कभी जन्म नहीं लेता।
Meaning:
From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains My abode, O son of Kunti, never takes birth again.
तात्पर्य:
समस्त योगियों को चाहे वे कर्मयोगी हों, ज्ञानयोगी या हठयोगी- अन्ततः भक्तियोग या कृष्णभावनामृत में भक्ति की सिद्धि प्राप्त करनी होती है, तभी वे कृष्ण के दिव्य धाम को जा सकते हैं, जहाँ से वे फिर कभी वापस नहीं आते।
किन्तु जो सर्वोच्च भौतिक लोकों अर्थात् देवलोकों को प्राप्त होता है, उसका पुनर्जन्म होता रहता है।
जिस प्रकार इस पृथ्वी के लोग उच्चलोकों को जाते हैं, उसी तरह ब्रह्मलोक, चन्द्रलोक तथा इन्द्रलोक जैसे उच्चतर लोकों से लोग पृथ्वी पर गिरते रहते हैं।
छान्दोग्य उपनिषद् में जिस पंचाग्नि विद्या का विधान है, उससे मनुष्य ब्रह्मलोक को प्राप्त कर सकता है, किन्तु यदि ब्रह्मलोक में वह कृष्णभावनामृत का अनुशीलन नहीं करता, तो उसे पृथ्वी पर फिर से लौटना पड़ता है।
जो उच्चतर लोकों में कृष्णभावनामृत में प्रगति करते हैं, वे क्रमशः और ऊपर जाते रहते हैं और प्रलय के समय वे नित्य परमधाम को भेज दिये जाते हैं।
All types of yogīs whether they follow the paths of karma, jñāna, or haṭha must ultimately reach bhakti-yoga, or Kṛṣṇa consciousness, to attain the Lord’s supreme abode. Only then do they become free from the cycle of birth and death.
Even those who reach higher material planets, such as Brahmaloka, Chandraloka, or Indraloka, are subject to repeated birth and death. Just as people on Earth ascend to higher realms, those from higher realms also descend back to Earth.
According to the Chāndogya Upaniṣad, through the process of pañcāgni-vidyā (meditation on the five fires), one can reach Brahmaloka. However, unless one practices Kṛṣṇa consciousness even there, he must return to Earth again.
Those who make devotional advancement in higher planets gradually ascend further, and at the time of cosmic dissolution, they are transferred to the eternal spiritual abode.
