भगवद गीता अध्याय 8 श्लोक 26
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 8 Shlok 26 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण बताते हैं कि इस संसार से निकलने के दो मार्ग हैं- प्रकाश और अंधकार का। जो व्यक्ति प्रकाश मार्ग से जाता है, वह फिर नहीं लौटता; किंतु अंधकार मार्ग से जाने वाला पुनः जन्म लेता है।
श्लोक:
शुक्लकृष्णे गती ह्येते जगतः शाश्वते मते।
एकया यात्यनावृत्तिमन्यया वर्तते पुनः॥२६॥
Transliteration:
śhukla-kṛiṣhṇe gatī hyete jagataḥ śhāśhvate mate
ekayā yātyanāvṛittim anyayāvartate punaḥ
अर्थ:
वैदिक मतानुसार इस संसार से प्रयाण करने के दो मार्ग हैं- एक प्रकाश का तथा दूसरा अंधकार का। जब मनुष्य प्रकाश के मार्ग से जाता है तो वह वापस नहीं आता, किन्तु अंधकार के मार्ग से जाने वाला पुनः लौटकर आता है।
Meaning:
According to Vedic knowledge, there are two eternal paths in this world: the path of light and the path of darkness. One who takes the path of light does not return, while one who takes the path of darkness returns again.
तात्पर्य:
आचार्य बलदेव विद्याभूषण ने छान्दोग्य उपनिषद् (५.१०.३–५) से इसी प्रकार का विवरण उद्धृत किया है।
जो अनादि काल से सकाम कर्म करने वाले तथा केवल दार्शनिक चिन्तन में लगे रहते हैं,
ऐसे लोगों को परम मोक्ष प्राप्त नहीं होता, क्योंकि वे कृष्ण की शरण में नहीं जाते।
Acharya Baladeva Vidyabhūṣaṇa has cited similar references from the Chāndogya Upaniṣad (5.10.3–5).
Those who are engaged in fruitive activities (sakāma karma) and philosophical speculation since time immemorial follow these two distinct paths —
but they do not attain the supreme liberation, because they do not surrender to Lord Krishna.
Such individuals remain bound within the cycle of birth and death, even if they ascend to higher planets or realms.
Only by taking shelter of Krishna can one be freed from this cycle and attain the eternal spiritual world.
