भगवद गीता अध्याय 9 श्लोक 1
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 9 Shlok 1 में श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन से कहते हैं कि चूँकि वह उनसे ईर्ष्या नहीं करता, इसलिए वे उसे सबसे गूढ़ रहस्य ज्ञान और विज्ञान सहित बताने जा रहे हैं, जिससे अर्जुन समस्त अशुभों से मुक्त हो जाएगा।
श्लोक:
इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे।
ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात्॥१॥
Transliteration:
idaṁ tu te guhyatamaṁ pravakṣhyāmyanasūyave
jñānaṁ vijñāna-sahitaṁ yaj jñātvā mokṣhyase ’śhubhāt
अर्थ:
श्रीभगवान् ने कहा- हे अर्जुन! चूँकि तुम मुझसे कभी ईर्ष्या नहीं करते, इसलिए मैं तुम्हें यह परम गुह्यज्ञान तथा अनुभूति बतलाऊँगा, जिसे जानकर तुम संसार के सारे क्लेशों से मुक्त हो जाओगे।
Meaning:
The Supreme Lord said: My dear Arjuna, because you are never envious of Me, I shall now impart to you this most confidential knowledge and realization, knowing which you shall be freed from all miseries of material existence.
तात्पर्य:
ज्यों-ज्यों भक्त भगवान् के विषयों में अधिकाधिक सुनता है, त्यों-त्यों वह आत्मप्रकाशित होता जाता है। यह श्रवण विधि श्रीमद्भागवत में इस प्रकार अनुमोदित है- "भगवान् के संदेश शक्तियों से पूरित होते हैं, जिनकी अनुभूति तभी होती है, जब भक्त जन भगवान् सम्बन्धी कथाओं की परस्पर चर्चा करते हैं। इसे मनोधर्मियों या विद्यालयीन विद्वानों के सान्निध्य से नहीं प्राप्त किया जा सकता, क्योंकि यह अनुभूत ज्ञान (विज्ञान) है।"
भक्तगण परमेश्वर की सेवा में निरन्तर लगे रहते हैं। भगवान् उस जीव विशेष की मानसिकता तथा निष्ठा से अवगत रहते हैं, जो कृष्णभावनाभावित होता है और उसे ही वे भक्तों के सान्निध्य में कृष्णविद्या को समझने की बुद्धि प्रदान करते हैं।
कृष्ण की चर्चा अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली है और यदि सौभाग्यवश किसी को ऐसी संगति प्राप्त हो जाये और वह इस ज्ञान को आत्मसात् करे तो वह आत्म-साक्षात्कार की दिशा में अवश्य प्रगति करेगा।
कृष्ण अर्जुन को अपनी अलौकिक सेवा में उच्च से उच्चतर स्तर तक उत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से इस नवें अध्याय में उसे परम गुह्य बातें बताते हैं, जिन्हें इसके पूर्व उन्होंने अन्य किसी से प्रकट नहीं किया था।
As a devotee hears more and more about the Lord, they become increasingly self-realized. This process of hearing is endorsed in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, where it is said that the messages of the Lord are full of potency and can be realized only when devotees discuss them in a spirit of mutual devotion—not through dry academic scholarship or mental speculation.
Devotees are constantly engaged in the service of the Supreme Lord. The Lord, being aware of the sincere mentality and determination of a particular living being who is engaged in Krishna consciousness, bestows upon such a person the intelligence to understand transcendental knowledge in the association of other devotees.
Krishna-kathā (topics about Krishna) is very powerful. If by good fortune one gains such association and assimilates this knowledge, they are sure to progress toward self-realization.
In this Ninth Chapter, Krishna begins to reveal the most confidential knowledge to Arjuna, not previously disclosed to anyone else, in order to inspire him to rise to higher levels of devotional service.
