भगवद गीता अध्याय 9 श्लोक 3
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 9 Shlok 3 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण कहते हैं कि जो लोग श्रद्धाहीन हैं, वे मुझे प्राप्त नहीं कर सकते और मृत्यु एवं जन्म के चक्र में ही फँसे रहते हैं।
श्लोक:
अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप।
अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि॥३॥
Transliteration:
aśhraddadhānāḥ puruṣhā dharmasyāsya parantapa
aprāpya māṁ nivartante mṛityu-samsāra-vartmani
अर्थ:
हे परन्तप! जो लोग भक्ति में श्रद्धा नहीं रखते, वे मुझे प्राप्त नहीं कर पाते। अतः वे इस भौतिक जगत् में जन्म-मृत्यु के मार्ग पर वापस आते रहते हैं।
Meaning:
O Arjuna, those who do not have faith in this dharma (devotional service) cannot attain Me and return to the path of birth and death in this material world.
तात्पर्य:
श्रद्धाविहीन के लिए भक्तियोग पाना कठिन है, यही इस श्लोक का तात्पर्य है। श्रद्धा तो भक्तों की संगति से उत्पन्न की जाती है। महापुरुषों से वैदिक प्रमाणों को सुनकर भी अभागे लोग ईश्वर में श्रद्धा नहीं रखते। वे झिझकते रहते हैं और भगवद्भक्ति में दृढ़ नहीं रहते। इस प्रकार कृष्णभावनामृत की प्रगति में श्रद्धा मुख्य है।
चैतन्यचरितामृत में कहा गया है कि श्रद्धा तो यह पूर्ण विश्वास है कि परमेश्वर श्रीकृष्ण की ही सेवा द्वारा सारी सिद्धि प्राप्त की जा सकती है। यही वास्तविक श्रद्धा है।
This verse emphasizes that without faith, progress in devotional service is not possible. Faith arises through association with devotees. Even after hearing Vedic evidence from great souls, unfortunate people remain doubtful and lack firm devotion to the Supreme Lord.
They hesitate, remain uncertain, and cannot advance in Krishna consciousness. Therefore, faith is essential for progress. In the Chaitanya Charitāmṛta, it is said that true faith is the strong conviction that all perfection can be achieved simply by serving Lord Krishna. This is genuine śraddhā (faith).
