भगवद गीता अध्याय 9 श्लोक 31
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 9 Shlok 31 में श्रीकृष्ण कहते हैं कि वह तुरन्त धर्मात्मा बन जाता है और स्थायी शान्ति को प्राप्त होता है। है कुन्तीपुत्र! निडर होकर घोषणा कर दो कि मेरे भक्त का कभी विनाश नहीं होता है।
श्लोक:
क्षिप्रं भवति धर्मात्मा शश्वच्छान्तिं निगच्छति ।
कौन्तेय प्रतिजानीहि न मे भक्तः प्रणश्यति ॥३१॥
Transliteration:
kṣhipraṁ bhavati dharmātmā śhaśhvach-chhāntiṁ nigachchhati
kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśhyati
अर्थ:
वह तुरन्त धर्मात्मा बन जाता है और स्थायी शान्ति को प्राप्त होता है। है कुन्तीपुत्र! निडर होकर घोषणा कर दो कि मेरे भक्त का कभी विनाश नहीं होता है।
Meaning:
He quickly becomes righteous and attains lasting peace. O son of Kunti, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes.
तात्पर्य:
इसका कोई दूसरा अर्थ नहीं लगाना चाहिए। सातवें अध्याय में भगवान् कहते हैं कि जो दुष्कृती है, वह भगवद्भक्त नहीं हो सकता। जो भगवद्भक्त नहीं है, उसमें कोई भी योग्यता नहीं होती। तब प्रश्न यह उठता है कि संयोगवश या स्वेच्छा से निन्दनीय कर्मों में प्रवृत्त होने वाला व्यक्ति किस प्रकार भक्त हो सकता है? यह प्रश्न ठीक ही है। जैसा कि सातवें अध्याय में कहा गया है, जो दुष्टात्मा कभी भक्ति के पास नहीं भटकता, उसमें कोई सद्गुण नहीं होते। श्रीमद्भागवत में भी इसका उल्लेख है। सामान्यतया नौ प्रकार के भक्ति-कार्यों में युक्त रहने वाला भक्त अपने हृदय को भौतिक कल्मष से शुद्ध करने में लगा होता है। वह भगवान् को अपने हृदय में बसाता है, फलतः उसके सारे पापपूर्ण कल्मष धुल जाते हैं। निरन्तर भगवान् का चिन्तन करने से वह स्वतः शुद्ध हो जाता है। वेदों के अनुसार ऐसा विधान है कि यदि कोई अपने उच्चपद से नीचे गिर जाता है तो अपनी शुद्धि के लिए उसे कुछ अनुष्ठान करने होते हैं। किन्तु यहाँ पर ऐसा कोई प्रतिबन्ध नहीं है, क्योंकि शुद्धि की क्रिया भगवान् का निरन्तर स्मरण करते रहने से पहले से ही भक्त के हृदय में चलती रहती है।
अतः हरे कृष्ण हरे कृष्ण कृष्ण कृष्ण हरे हरे
हरे राम हरे राम राम राम हरे हरे
इस मन्त्र का अनवरत जप करना चाहिए। यह भक्त को आकस्मिक पतन से बचाएगा। इस प्रकार वह समस्त भौतिक कल्मषों से सदैव मुक्त रहेगा।
There should be no other interpretation of this. In the seventh chapter, the Lord says that one who is sinful (duskṛti) cannot become a devotee of the Lord. One who is not a devotee of the Lord has no real qualification. Then the question arises how can a person who is engaged in abominable acts, either accidentally or willingly, become a devotee? This is a valid question. As stated in the seventh chapter, the demoniac person never approaches devotion and possesses no good qualities. This is also mentioned in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Generally, a devotee engaged in the nine processes of devotional service purifies his heart of material contamination. He installs the Lord in his heart, and as a result, all sinful contamination is washed away. By constantly remembering the Lord, he becomes purified automatically.
According to the Vedas, if someone falls from a high position, they must perform certain rituals for purification. But here, there is no such restriction, because the process of purification is already taking place within the heart of the devotee through constant remembrance of the Lord. Therefore, one should constantly chant:
"Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare,
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare"
This constant chanting will protect the devotee from sudden downfall. In this way, he will always remain free from all material contamination.
