भगवद गीता अध्याय 9 श्लोक 7
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 9 Shlok 7 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन से कहते हैं कि कल्प के अंत में सभी प्राणी उनकी प्रकृति में विलीन हो जाते हैं और कल्प के प्रारंभ में वे उन्हें पुनः उत्पन्न करते हैं।
श्लोक:
सर्वभूतानि कौन्तेय प्रकृतिं यान्ति मामिकाम्।
कल्पक्षये पुनस्तानि कल्पादौ विसृजाम्यहम्॥७॥
Transliteration:
sarva-bhūtāni kaunteya prakṛitiṁ yānti māmikām
kalpa-kṣhaye punas tāni kalpādau visṛijāmyaham
अर्थ:
हे कुन्तीपुत्र! कल्प का अन्त होने पर सारे प्राणी मेरी प्रकृति में प्रवेश करते हैं और अन्य कल्प के आरम्भ होने पर मैं उन्हें अपनी शक्ति से पुनः उत्पन्न करता हूँ।
Meaning:
O son of Kuntī, at the end of a kalpa (cosmic cycle), all beings enter into My material nature, and at the beginning of the next kalpa, I create them again by My potency.
तात्पर्य:
इस विराट भौतिक अभिव्यक्ति का सृजन, पालन तथा संहार पूर्णतया भगवान् की परम इच्छा पर निर्भर है।
कल्पक्षये का अर्थ है ब्रह्मा की मृत्यु होने पर। ब्रह्मा एक सौ वर्ष जीवित रहते हैं और उनका एक दिन हमारे ४,३०,००,००,००० वर्षों के तुल्य है। रात्रि भी इतने ही वर्षों की होती है। ब्रह्मा के एक महीने में ऐसे तीस दिन तथा रातें होती हैं, और उनके एक वर्ष में बारह महीने। ऐसे सौ वर्षों के बाद जब ब्रह्मा की मृत्यु होती है, तो प्रलय हो जाता है, अर्थात भगवान् की प्रकट शक्ति पुनः उन्हीं में सिमट जाती है।
फिर जब सृष्टि की आवश्यकता होती है, तो भगवान् की इच्छा से वही शक्ति पुनः विस्तार लेती है।
यह वैदिक सूक्ति (छान्दोग्य उपनिषद् ६.२.३) सृष्टि के मूल भाव को प्रकट करती है। भगवान् अपनी भौतिक शक्ति में विस्तार करते हैं और सारी विराट अभिव्यक्ति पुनः घटित होती है।
The creation, maintenance, and dissolution of this vast material manifestation are entirely dependent on the supreme will of the Lord.
Kalpa-kṣaya refers to the end of Brahmā’s life. Brahmā lives for one hundred celestial years, and each of his days equals 4.3 billion human years, with his nights being of equal length. After thirty such days and nights make a month, and twelve months make a year, Brahmā’s one hundred years amount to an inconceivable span of time.
When Brahmā’s life ends, the universal dissolution (pralaya) occurs. All living beings and elements merge back into the Lord’s material nature (prakṛti). When it is time for creation again, the Lord expands His potency and brings forth the material world once more.
This is summarized in the Vedic statement:
“eko ’haṁ bahu syām” — “Although I am one, I shall become many.”
(Chāndogya Upaniṣad 6.2.3)
Thus, the Lord manifests all beings again by His will, yet remains untouched and beyond them. The cosmic cycle continues under His supreme control.
