भगवद गीता अध्याय 13 श्लोक 31
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 13 Shlok 31 में कहा गया है कि जब ज्ञानी व्यक्ति भिन्न-भिन्न भौतिक शरीरों के कारण उत्पन्न विविध रूपों से परे होकर यह देखता है कि आत्मा सर्वत्र समान रूप से विद्यमान है, तब वह ब्रह्म-बोध को प्राप्त करता है।
श्लोक:
यदा भूतपृथग्भावमेकस्थमनुपश्यति ।
तत एव च विस्तारं ब्रह्म सम्पद्यते तदा ॥३१॥
Transliteration:
yadā bhūta-pṛithag-bhāvam eka-stham anupaśhyati
tata eva cha vistāraṁ brahma sampadyate tadā
अर्थ:
जब विवेकवान् व्यक्ति विभिन्न भौतिक शरीरों के कारण विभिन्न स्वरूपों को देखना बन्द कर देता है और यह देखता है कि किस प्रकार से जीव सर्वत्र फैले हुए हैं, तो वह ब्रह्म-बोध को प्राप्त होता है।
Meaning:
When a wise person ceases to see the different forms arising from material bodies and perceives how all living beings are spread everywhere, he then attains realization of the Absolute Truth (Brahman).
तात्पर्य:
जब मनुष्य यह देखता है कि विभिन्न जीवों के शरीर उस जीव की विभिन्न इच्छाओं के कारण उत्पन्न हुए हैं और वे आत्मा से किसी तरह सम्बद्ध नहीं हैं, तो वह वास्तव में देखता है।
देहात्मबुद्धि के कारण हम किसी को देवता, किसी को मनुष्य, किसी को कुत्ता, बिल्ली आदि के रूप में देखते हैं। यह भौतिक दृष्टि है, वास्तविक दृष्टि नहीं है। यह भौतिक भेदभाव केवल देहात्मबुद्धि के कारण है।
भौतिक शरीर के विनाश के बाद आत्मा एक रहता है। यही आत्मा भौतिक प्रकृति के सम्पर्क से विभिन्न प्रकार के शरीर धारण करता है। जब कोई इसे देख पाता है, तो उसे आध्यात्मिक दृष्टि प्राप्त होती है।
इस प्रकार जो मनुष्य पशु, ऊँच-नीच आदि के भेदभाव से मुक्त हो जाता है, उसकी चेतना शुद्ध हो जाती है और वह अपने आध्यात्मिक स्वरूप में कृष्णभावनामृत विकसित करने में समर्थ होता है। तब वह वस्तुओं को जिस रूप में देखता है, उसे अगले श्लोक में बताया गया है।
When one realizes that the variety of bodies arises only due to the desires of the individual soul, and that these bodies are not actually connected to the soul, true vision develops.
Because of bodily identification, we see some as gods, some as humans, or others as animals like dogs and cats. This is material vision, not spiritual. Such distinctions arise only from false identification with the body.
After the destruction of the material body, the soul remains one and eternal. It is only by contact with material nature that the soul assumes different kinds of bodies. When a person perceives this truth, he attains spiritual vision.
Thus, one who rises above the distinctions of man, animal, high or low, achieves purified consciousness and becomes capable of cultivating Krishna consciousness in his true spiritual identity. The way such a person sees things is further explained in the next verse.
