भगवद गीता अध्याय 13 श्लोक 32
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 13 Shlok 32 में बताया गया है कि आत्मा अनादि, निर्गुण और अविनाशी है। शरीर में स्थित रहते हुए भी आत्मा न तो कोई कार्य करता है और न ही उससे लिप्त होता है। यह सत्य केवल स्थिर दृष्टि वाले ज्ञानी ही समझ सकते हैं।
श्लोक:
अनादित्वान्निर्गुणत्वात्परमात्मायमव्ययः ।
शरीरस्थोऽपि कौन्तेय न करोति न लिप्यते ॥३२॥
Transliteration:
anāditvān nirguṇatvāt paramātmāyam avyayaḥ
śharīra-stho ’pi kaunteya na karoti na lipyate
अर्थ:
शाश्वत दृष्टिसम्पन्न लोग यह देख सकते हैं कि अविनाशी आत्मा दिव्य, शाश्वत तथा गुणों से अतीत है। हे अर्जुन! भौतिक शरीर के साथ सम्पर्क होते हुए भी आत्मा न तो कुछ करता है और न ही उससे लिप्त होता है।
Meaning:
Those endowed with steady vision can see that the imperishable soul is divine, eternal, and beyond the modes of nature. O Arjuna, even though dwelling in the body, the soul neither acts nor is entangled.
तात्पर्य:
ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि जीव उत्पन्न होता है, क्योंकि भौतिक शरीर का जन्म होता है। लेकिन वास्तव में जीव शाश्वत है, वह उत्पन्न नहीं होता और शरीर में स्थित रहकर भी दिव्य तथा शाश्वत बना रहता है। इस प्रकार उसे विनष्ट नहीं किया जा सकता।
जीव स्वभाव से आनन्दमय है। वह किसी भौतिक कार्य में प्रवृत्त नहीं होता।
अतः भौतिक शरीरों के साथ उसके सम्पर्क होने से जो कार्य सम्पन्न होते हैं, वे उसे लिप्त नहीं कर पाते।
It may appear that the soul takes birth because the material body is born. In reality, however, the soul is eternal, unborn, and remains divine even while situated in the body. Thus, it cannot be destroyed.
By nature, the soul is blissful and never engages in material activities.
Therefore, whatever actions take place due to its association with the body do not bind or affect it.
