भगवद गीता अध्याय 15 श्लोक 17
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 15 Shlok 17 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण यह स्पष्ट करते हैं कि क्षर और अक्षर जीवों के अतिरिक्त एक और परम पुरुष हैं जिन्हें परमात्मा कहा जाता है। वही ईश्वर तीनों लोकों में प्रवेश करके उनका पालन करते हैं और अविनाशी स्वरूप में विद्यमान रहते हैं।
श्लोक:
उत्तमः पुरुषस्त्वन्यः परमात्मेत्युदाहृतः ।
यो लोकत्रयमाविश्य बिभर्त्यव्यय ईश्वरः ॥१७॥
Transliteration:
uttamaḥ puruṣhas tv anyaḥ paramātmety udāhṛitaḥ
yo loka-trayam āviśhya bibharty avyaya īśhvaraḥ
अर्थ:
इन दोनों के अतिरिक्त, एक परम पुरुष परमात्मा है, जो साक्षात् अविनाशी भगवान् है और जो तीनों लोकों में प्रवेश करके उनका पालन कर रहा है।
Meaning:
Besides these two, there is the Supreme Person, called the Paramatma, the indestructible Lord, who enters the three worlds and sustains them.
तात्पर्य:
इस श्लोक का भाव कठोपनिषद् (२.२.१३) तथा श्वेताश्वतर उपनिषद् में (६.१३) अत्यन्त सुन्दर ढंग से व्यक्त हुआ है। वहाँ यह कहा गया है कि असंख्य जीवों के नियन्ता, जिनमें से कुछ बद्ध हैं और कुछ मुक्त हैं, एक परम पुरुष है, जो परमात्मा है। उपनिषद् का श्लोक इस प्रकार है- नित्यो नित्यानां चेतनश्चेतनानाम्। सारांश यह है कि बद्ध तथा मुक्त दोनों प्रकार के जीवों में से एक परम पुरुष भगवान् होता है, जो उन सबका पालन करता है और उन्हें उनके कर्मों के अनुसार भोग की सुविधा प्रदान करता है। वह भगवान् परमात्मा रूप में सबके हृदय में स्थित है। जो बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति उन्हें समझ सकता है, वही पूर्ण शान्ति लाभ कर सकता है, अन्य कोई नहीं।
The essence of this verse is beautifully expressed in the Katha Upanishad (2.2.13) and Shvetashvatara Upanishad (6.13). There it is stated that among the innumerable living entities, some bound and some liberated, there exists one Supreme Person, the Paramatma, who is their eternal controller. The Upanishadic verse says: nityo nityānāṁ chetanaśh chetanānām - "Among all the eternal living beings, there is one supreme eternal being; among all the conscious entities, there is one supreme conscious entity."
In summary, both the conditioned and liberated souls are maintained by this Supreme Person, who provides the results of their karma. He resides as the Supersoul in everyone's heart, guiding and sustaining them. Only the wise who realize this truth can attain perfect peace, and no one else.
