भगवद गीता अध्याय 16 श्लोक 1-3
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 16 Shlok 1-3 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने दैवी सम्पत्तियों का वर्णन किया है। ये दिव्य गुण उस मनुष्य के जीवन में पाए जाते हैं जो आत्मशुद्धि और भगवान की भक्ति में स्थित होता है।
श्लोक:
अभयं सत्त्वसंशुद्धिर्ज्ञानयोगव्यवस्थितिः ।
दानं दमश्च यज्ञश्च स्वाध्यायस्तप आर्जवम् ॥१॥
अहिंसा सत्यमक्रोधस्त्यागः शान्तिरपैशुनम् ।
दया भूतेष्वलोलुप्त्वं मार्दवं ह्रीरचापलम् ॥२॥
तेजः क्षमा धृतिः शौचमद्रोहो नातिमानिता ।
भवन्ति सम्पदं दैवीमभिजातस्य भारत ॥३॥
Transliteration:
abhayaṁ sattva-sanśhuddhir jñāna-yoga-vyavasthitiḥ
dānaṁ damaśh cha yajñaśh cha svādhyāyas tapa ārjavam॥1॥
ahinsā satyam akrodhas tyāgaḥ śhāntir apaiśhunam
dayā bhūteṣhv aloluptvaṁ mārdavaṁ hrīr achāpalam॥2॥
tejaḥ kṣhamā dhṛitiḥ śhaucham adroho nāti-mānitā
bhavanti sampadaṁ daivīm abhijātasya bhārata॥3॥
अर्थ:
भगवान ने कहा - हे भरतपुत्र! निर्भयता, आत्मशुद्धि, आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान का अनुशीलन, दान, आत्म-संयम, यज्ञपरायणता, वेदाध्ययन, तपस्या, सरलता, अहिंसा, सत्यता, क्रोधविहीनता, त्याग, शान्ति, छिद्रान्वेषण में अरुचि, समस्त जीवों पर करुणा, लोभविहीनता, भद्रता, लज्जा, संकल्प, तेज, क्षमा, धैर्य, पवित्रता, ईर्ष्या तथा सम्मान की अभिलाषा से मुक्ति - ये सारे दिव्य गुण हैं, जो दैवी प्रकृति से सम्पन्न देवतुल्य पुरुषों में पाए जाते हैं।
Meaning:
The Supreme Lord said - O son of Bharata! Fearlessness, purification of one’s existence, cultivation of spiritual knowledge, charity, self-control, performance of sacrifice, study of the Vedas, austerity, simplicity, nonviolence, truthfulness, freedom from anger, renunciation, tranquility, aversion to fault-finding, compassion towards all beings, freedom from greed, gentleness, modesty, determination, vigor, forgiveness, fortitude, cleanliness, freedom from envy, and absence of longing for honor - these, O Arjuna, are the divine qualities found in those endowed with godly nature.
तात्पर्य:
भगवान श्रीकृष्ण यहाँ मनुष्य के जीवन में पाए जाने वाले दैवी गुणों का वर्णन करते हैं। ये गुण उसी में विकसित होते हैं जो भगवान की शरण में रहता है और आत्मशुद्धि तथा आध्यात्मिक अभ्यास में स्थिर रहता है। निर्भयता का अर्थ है कि मनुष्य भगवान पर विश्वास करके अपने जीवन का संचालन करता है और किसी भी भौतिक स्थिति से भयभीत नहीं होता। आत्मशुद्धि का तात्पर्य है कि मनुष्य अपने चरित्र और आचरण को शुद्ध बनाता है। दान और आत्मसंयम से समाज तथा व्यक्तिगत जीवन में संतुलन आता है।
यज्ञ, स्वाध्याय और तप से जीवन दिव्य बनता है। अहिंसा, सत्य, क्रोध का अभाव, शांति, दया और लोभ रहित आचरण मनुष्य को ईश्वर के निकट ले जाते हैं। यही गुण वास्तविक दैवी सम्पदा हैं जो आत्मा को परिष्कृत कर भगवान की ओर अग्रसर करते हैं।
In these verses, Lord Krishna describes the divine qualities that manifest in those who are devoted to Him. Fearlessness arises from surrendering to God, for such a soul knows that the Lord is the protector. Purity of existence means living a life of integrity and sanctity. Charity, self-control, and sacrifice maintain harmony in both society and the individual.
Study of the scriptures, austerity, and simplicity uplift the soul. Nonviolence, truthfulness, forgiveness, compassion, and freedom from greed reflect a heart aligned with divine consciousness. These qualities are not ordinary but are bestowed upon those who cultivate devotion and align with God’s will. Such divine endowments distinguish the godly from the demonic, leading the soul toward liberation.
