भगवद गीता अध्याय 18 श्लोक 29
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 18 Shlok 29 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन से कहते हैं कि अब वे तीन गुणों के आधार पर बुद्धि और धृति के भेदों का विस्तार से वर्णन करेंगे।
श्लोक:
बुद्धेर्भेदं धृतेश्चैव गुणतस्त्रिविधं शृणु ।
प्रोच्यमानमशेषेण पृथक्त्वेन धनञ्जय ॥२९॥
Transliteration:
buddher bhedaṁ dhṛiteśh chaiva guṇatas tri-vidhaṁ śhṛiṇu
prochyamānam aśheṣheṇa pṛithaktvena dhanañjaya
अर्थ:
हे धनञ्जय! अब मैं प्रकृति के तीनों गुणों के अनुसार तुम्हें विभिन्न प्रकार की बुद्धि तथा धृति के विषय में विस्तार से बताऊँगा। तुम इसे सुनो।
Meaning:
O Dhananjaya, now hear from Me in detail about the threefold distinctions of intellect and determination, according to the modes of material nature.
तात्पर्य:
ज्ञान, ज्ञेय तथा ज्ञाता की व्याख्या प्रकृति के गुणों के अनुसार तीन-तीन पृथक् विभागों में करने के बाद अब भगवान् कर्ता की बुद्धि तथा उसके संकल्प (धैर्य) के विषय में उसी प्रकार से बता रहे हैं।
After describing knowledge, the object of knowledge, and the knower in terms of the three modes of nature, Lord Krishna now turns to the distinctions of intellect and determination. He explains how these faculties also function differently depending on whether they are influenced by sattva (goodness), rajas (passion), or tamas (ignorance).
