भगवद गीता अध्याय 18 श्लोक 44
Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 18 Shlok 44 में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने वैश्यों और शूद्रों के स्वाभाविक कर्मों का वर्णन किया है। वैश्यों का कार्य कृषि, गो-रक्षा और व्यापार है, जबकि शूद्रों का कार्य सेवा और श्रम करना है। यह समाज के संतुलन और सहयोग का आधार है।
श्लोक:
कृषिगोरक्ष्यवाणिज्यं वैश्यकर्म स्वभावजम् ।
परिचर्यात्मकं कर्म शूद्रस्यापि स्वभावजम् ॥४४॥
Transliteration:
kṛiṣhi-gau-rakṣhya-vāṇijyaṁ vaiśhya-karma svabhāva-jam
paricharyātmakaṁ karma śhūdrasyāpi svabhāva-jam
अर्थ:
कृषि करना, गो-रक्षा तथा व्यापार वैश्यों के स्वाभाविक कर्म हैं और शूद्रों का कर्म श्रम तथा अन्यों की सेवा करना है।
Meaning:
Farming, cow protection, and trade are the natural duties of the Vaishyas (merchant class), while service and labor for others are the natural duties of the Shudras (working class).
तात्पर्य:
इस श्लोक में समाज के दो वर्गों - वैश्यों और शूद्रों - के स्वाभाविक कर्मों का उल्लेख किया गया है। वैश्यों का मुख्य कार्य है कृषि, गो-रक्षा और व्यापार। समाज में समृद्धि और स्थिरता इन्हीं तीनों से बनी रहती है। कृषि के माध्यम से अन्न और जीवनोपयोगी वस्तुएँ उत्पन्न होती हैं; गो-रक्षा से नैतिकता, दूध, घी और धार्मिकता की वृद्धि होती है; तथा व्यापार समाज में वस्तुओं के आदान-प्रदान और अर्थ-व्यवस्था के संचालन का साधन है।
शूद्रों का स्वभाव सेवा और श्रम में है। वे अन्य वर्गों की सेवा करके समाज की संरचना को मजबूत बनाते हैं। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का अपना स्वाभाविक गुण और कर्म होता है, और जब वह अपने धर्म के अनुसार कर्म करता है, तब समाज में संतुलन और सौहार्द बना रहता है।
In this verse, Lord Krishna explains the natural duties of the Vaishyas and Shudras. The Vaishyas are engaged in agriculture, cow protection, and trade - activities essential for economic and social stability. Through agriculture, they provide food; through cow protection, they uphold morality and prosperity; and through trade, they maintain the flow of goods and wealth in society.
The Shudras, on the other hand, are naturally inclined to service and labor. By serving others with dedication, they play an important role in maintaining the foundation of society. Every individual has inherent qualities and duties based on their nature, and when everyone performs their own work sincerely, harmony and balance are maintained in the world.
